Early Life and Background:

  • Jayasudha was born on December 17, 1958, in Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu, to a Telugu-speaking family.
  • Her mother, Joga Bai, was also an actress who appeared in films like “Balanandam” (1954) and “Kalahasti Mahatyam” (1954).
  • She is the niece of renowned Telugu actress and director Vijaya Nirmala.
  • Jayasudha’s paternal grandfather was the eminent scholar and literary historian, Nidudavolu Venkatarao.

Film Career:

  • Jayasudha began her acting career at a young age and quickly established herself as a leading actress in South Indian cinema.
  • She earned the moniker “Sahaja Nati” (natural actress) for her effortless and realistic portrayals of various characters.
  • Jayasudha has acted in over 200 Telugu films, showcasing her versatility and talent.

  • They have two sons, Nihar and Shreyan.
  • Nitin Kapoor passed away in 2017.
