Early Life & Family Background

Jatin Pandit was born into a musical family with a strong classical background. His father, Pandit Pratap Narayan, was a well-known classical musician, and his elder brothers Mandheer Pandit and Shravan Pandit were also associated with music. He was trained in Indian classical music from an early age.

Jatin is the younger brother of Lalit Pandit, with whom he formed the legendary Bollywood music composer duo Jatin-Lalit.

Musical Career

Early Struggles & Breakthrough

Jatin, along with his brother Lalit, entered Bollywood in the late 1980s. Initially, they struggled to get recognition, but their breakthrough came with the film “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” (1992). The song “Pehla Nasha” became a cult classic and established them as leading composers in the industry.
