Early Life & Education
Gal Gadot was born in Petah Tikva and raised in Rosh HaAyin, Israel, in a Jewish family with Ashkenazi Jewish roots. Her mother, Irit, was a teacher, and her father, Michael Gadot, was an engineer. She studied biology in high school and was passionate about sports, especially basketball, due to her height.
At the age of 18, she won the Miss Israel 2004 title, which led to her representing Israel in the Miss Universe 2004 pageant held in Ecuador.
Following her beauty pageant success, she served two years in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as a combat fitness instructor. Later, she pursued law and international relations at the Reichman University (formerly IDC Herzliya) in Israel.
