Deepika Padukone was born to Prakash Padukone, a former badminton champion, and Ujjala Padukone, a travel agent. She spent her early childhood in Copenhagen, Denmark, before moving to Bengaluru, India.
Deepika was a national-level badminton player in her teenage years, following in her father’s footsteps, but her true passion lay in modeling and acting. She attended Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru and briefly enrolled in IGNOU for a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology before focusing entirely on her career.
