Early Life and Education

Jacqueline was born into a multicultural family. Her father, Elroy Fernandez, is Sri Lankan, while her mother, Kim, is of Malaysian and Canadian descent. She grew up in Bahrain, where her father had relocated during the Sri Lankan civil war.

Jacqueline completed her schooling in Bahrain and later pursued a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Sydney, Australia. After graduation, she briefly worked as a television reporter in Sri Lanka before transitioning to modeling and acting.

Career

Miss Universe Sri Lanka
In 2006, Jacqueline won the Miss Universe Sri Lanka title and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2006 pageant. This achievement opened doors for her in the entertainment industry.

Bollywood Debut
Jacqueline made her Bollywood debut in Aladin (2009), directed by Sujoy Ghosh, alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh. Although the film didn’t perform well, Jacqueline’s beauty and charm were noticed.
