Bryan Cranston was born in Los Angeles, California, to a struggling actor father and a radio actress mother. His father abandoned the family when Bryan was young, leading to a tough childhood. Initially, he considered a career in law enforcement, but after discovering acting in college, he changed direction.
He attended Los Angeles Valley College, where he majored in police science before fully committing to acting.
