Early Life
Varun Sandesh was born in Rayagada, Odisha, and later moved to Hyderabad, India. He completed his schooling in Bridgewater, New Jersey, USA, where he lived with his family for several years. Coming from a family with a literary background—his grandfather, Jeedigunta Ramachandra Murthy, was a notable Telugu writer—Varun was always connected to Telugu culture.
Career
Varun Sandesh made his debut in Telugu cinema with the film “Happy Days” (2007) directed by Sekhar Kammula. The movie became a blockbuster and is celebrated as one of the best college-based dramas in Tollywood. His performance as Chandu earned him recognition and a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut (South).
He followed up with another hit, “Kotha Bangaru Lokam” (2008), alongside Shweta Basu Prasad. This romantic drama established him as a promising young actor.
