Early Life and Education

Shraddha Kapoor was born into a family deeply rooted in Bollywood. Her father, Shakti Kapoor, is a renowned actor known for his comic and villainous roles, while her mother, Shivangi Kapoor, is a classical singer. Her elder brother, Siddhanth Kapoor, is also an actor and assistant director.

Shraddha completed her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and later attended the prestigious American School of Bombay, where she was classmates with Tiger Shroff and Athiya Shetty. She briefly enrolled at Boston University to study psychology but left to pursue her career in acting.

Bollywood Debut and Breakthrough

Shraddha Kapoor made her acting debut with a brief role in the film Teen Patti (2010), starring Amitabh Bachchan. Although the film did not perform well at the box office, her potential was noticed.

Her breakthrough came with Aashiqui 2 (2013), a romantic musical opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. The film was a massive success, and her portrayal of Aarohi, a struggling singer, earned her critical acclaim and immense popularity.
