Sai Dharam Tej was born in Hyderabad, Telangana, to a prominent family in the Telugu film industry. He is the nephew of popular Telugu actor Chiranjeevi and the cousin of actors Ram Charan and Pawan Kalyan, making him part of the influential Konidela-Nandamuri family.
Growing up in a family deeply involved in cinema, Sai Dharam Tej was naturally inclined towards acting. He completed his schooling and college in Hyderabad, and like his relatives, he pursued a career in the film industry. Although he initially showed interest in engineering, his passion for films led him to take acting more seriously.
Before entering acting, Sai Dharam Tej also trained in various aspects of filmmaking and acting, honing his skills at the Satyanand Film Institute in Visakhapatnam, where many Telugu actors have trained. Sai Dharam Tej made his acting debut with the film “Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham” in 2014, directed by A.S. Ravi Kumar Chowdary. His second film, “Subramanyam for Sale” (2015), directed by Harish Shankar, was a significant turning point in his career.
