Early Life and Education

Ranveer Singh Bhavnani was born into a Sindhi family in Mumbai. His father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, is a businessman, and his mother, Anju Bhavnani, is a homemaker. He has an elder sister, Ritika Bhavnani. The family relocated to Mumbai after the partition of India, and Ranveer grew up in a close-knit family environment.

Ranveer attended Learners’ Academy, a school in Mumbai, and later pursued a degree in Arts from Indiana University Bloomington in the United States, where he majored in theatre and creative writing. During his time abroad, Ranveer developed a deep passion for acting and participated in various stage productions.

Early Career Struggles

After returning to India, Ranveer worked briefly in advertising as a copywriter for agencies like O&M (Ogilvy & Mather) and JWT. However, his dream of becoming an actor led him to leave his job and audition for film roles. He faced rejections early on but remained determined. His break came when Yash Raj Films cast him in “Band Baaja Baaraat” (2010), a romantic comedy directed by Maneesh Sharma.
