Nadeem Saifi was born into a business family in Mumbai but had a deep passion for music. He was drawn towards Bollywood and developed a keen interest in melody, inspired by legends like R.D. Burman and Laxmikant-Pyarelal.

Nadeem started his career in the music industry in the late 1970s and teamed up with Shravan Rathod, forming the iconic composer duo Nadeem-Shravan.

Allegations & Hiatus from Bollywood

In 1997, Nadeem Saifi was accused of being involved in the murder of Gulshan Kumar, the owner of T-Series. Due to this, he left India and settled in the UK and UAE.

Although he maintained his innocence, the controversy led to a decline in Nadeem-Shravan’s career. In 2002, an Indian court cleared his name, but by then, Bollywood music had evolved, and the duo had lost their dominance.

In 2005, after their last film Dosti: Friends Forever, Nadeem-Shravan officially split, marking the end of an era.

Solo Career & Comeback

After the split, Nadeem focused on perfume business in the Middle East. However, in 2016, he returned to Bollywood as a solo music composer.
