Kriti Sanon was born into a Punjabi family. Her father, Rahul Sanon, is a chartered accountant, and her mother, Geeta Sanon, is a professor at the University of Delhi. She has a younger sister named Nupur Sanon, who is a singer.
Kriti grew up in Delhi and attended Delhi Public School, RK Puram. She later pursued a B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) in Noida, but her passion for acting led her to switch careers.
Career in Modeling and Bollywood
Kriti started her career in modeling and appeared in various print and television commercials. She gained recognition as the face of Popular Brands like Amul, Parachute, and Samsung.
Her Bollywood debut came with the film Heropanti (2014), directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. She starred opposite Tiger Shroff, and the film was a commercial success. Kriti’s performance in the film was praised, and it earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
