- Born on June 2, 1964, in Narsipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.
- Pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Visakhapatnam.
- Worked as an associate director to D. V. Narsaraju, Kranthi Kumar, and Ram Gopal Varma before making his directorial debut.
Awards and Recognition:
- Won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film for Ramayanam (1997).
- Won multiple Nandi Awards for his films, including Best First Film of a Director, Best Feature Film, and Best Story.
- Won the Filmfare Award South for Best Director – Telugu for Choodalani Vundi (1998)
