Early Life and Background:

Born on June 12, 1979, in a village near Tangutur in Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh.
His father, T. Krishna, was a well-known Telugu filmmaker who directed several successful films.
Gopichand’s childhood was marked by the early loss of his father when he was just eight years old.
He completed his schooling at Nil Desperandum, Ongole (established by his father) and Ramakrishna Mission School, Chennai.
He pursued higher education in Russia, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Tragedy struck again when his elder brother, Premchand, who was working as an associate director, passed away in a car accident. This event significantly influenced Gopichand’s decision to enter the film industry.

Film Career:

Gopichand made his acting debut in 2001 with the film “Tholi Valapu,” where he played the lead role. However, the film didn’t perform well at the box office.
He then transitioned to playing negative roles, gaining recognition for his performances as an antagonist in films like “Jayam” (2002), “Nijam” (2003), and “Varsham” (2004). His role in “Jayam” earned him the Nandi Award for Best Villain.
In 2004, he returned to playing lead roles with the film “Yagnam,” which was a commercial success and established him as a lead actor.
Gopichand is primarily known for his action roles, and he has a strong screen presence and dialogue delivery that suits this genre.
Some of his notable films include “Lakshyam” (2007), “Souryam” (2008), “Sahasam” (2013), “Loukyam” (2014), and “Jil” (2015). These films were commercially successful and further solidified his position in the Telugu film industry.
