Early Life and Background

Fahadh Faasil was born as Abdul Hameed Mohammed Fahadh Fazil on August 8, 1982, in Alappuzha, Kerala. He is the son of legendary filmmaker Fazil and Rozina. He has two sisters, Ahameda and Fatima, and a younger brother, Farhaan Faasil, who is also an actor.

Fahadh completed his schooling at SDV Central School, Alappuzha, Lawrence School, Ooty, and The Choice School, Ernakulam. He pursued his Bachelor’s degree from SD College, Alappuzha, before moving to the United States for a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Miami.

Film Career

Fahadh made his debut in the film Kaiyethum Doorath (2002), directed by his father. The film was a commercial failure, leading him to step away from films for nearly seven years. He made a comeback in Kerala Cafe (2009), and his breakthrough came with Chaappa Kurishu (2011).

His performances in 22 Female Kottayam (2012), Diamond Necklace (2012), and Annayum Rasoolum (2013) established him as a leading actor. He further cemented his position with critically acclaimed films like North 24 Kaatham (2013), Bangalore Days (2014), Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016), Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017), Kumbalangi Nights (2019), Joji (2021), and Vikram (2022).

Marriage & Relationships

Fahadh Faasil met actress Nazriya Nazim during the filming of Bangalore Days (2014), in which they played a married couple. Their on-screen chemistry turned into real-life love. Fahadh’s father, Fazil, initiated discussions for marriage, and both families approved.

Fahadh and Nazriya got engaged on January 20, 2014, and were married on August 21, 2014, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Their wedding was one of the biggest celebrity weddings in the Malayalam film industry.
