Disha was born into a Rajput family. Her father, Jagdeesh Singh Patani, is a police officer, and her mother is a health inspector. She has an elder sister, Khushboo Patani, who is a lieutenant in the Indian Army, and a younger brother.

Disha initially pursued engineering at Amity University, Lucknow but dropped out to follow her passion for modeling and acting.

Modeling
Disha began her career as a model and gained recognition as the first runner-up in the 2013 Femina Miss India Indore pageant. Her striking looks and talent helped her secure opportunities in commercials, including a popular Cadbury Dairy Milk ad in 2015 that brought her into the limelight.

Bollywood Debut
