Early Life and Background:

Born on August 2, 1979, in Vedurupaka, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India.
His full name is Gandham Sriprasad.
He comes from a family with a background in arts and literature. His father, G. Satyamurthy, was a screenwriter in Telugu cinema, having penned scripts for popular films.

Musical Journey:

DSP’s interest in music began at a young age. He received initial training in music from his grandmother, who was a classical musician.
He further honed his skills under the guidance of renowned mandolinist U. Srinivas.
He also participated in and won several inter-school singing and dance competitions during his school days.
DSP’s entry into the film industry began with his debut music album “Dance Party” along with S. P. B. Charan and a few other debutants.
He made his debut as a music director in 1999 with the Telugu film “Devi.”
