Howard Shore – Full Biography
Early Life & Education
Howard Shore was born on October 18, 1946, in Toronto, Canada. From a young age, he displayed a keen interest in music. He studied music composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston and later honed his skills in classical and film music.
Early Career (1969–1979)
Shore started his career in the late 1960s, becoming one of the founding members of the Canadian rock band Lighthouse. He later transitioned into television, working as the music director for Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1975 to 1980.
