Liam Neeson was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. He was raised in a Catholic family and developed an interest in acting at a young age. Before pursuing acting, he studied physics and computer science at Queen’s University Belfast but left to work a variety of jobs, including as a forklift driver and amateur boxer.
He later trained in acting at Belfast’s Lyric Players’ Theatre and began performing on stage.
