Nicolas Cage was born into a family deeply connected to Hollywood. He is the nephew of legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather). Wanting to build his career without relying on his famous last name, he changed it to “Cage”, inspired by comic book hero Luke Cage.
