Early Life and Background

Saif Ali Khan was born into one of India’s most illustrious families. His father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was a legendary cricketer and the Nawab of Pataudi, while his mother, Sharmila Tagore, is a celebrated Bollywood actress and a descendant of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Saif has two sisters, Saba Ali Khan, a jewelry designer, and Soha Ali Khan, an actress.

He spent his early years at the prestigious The Lawrence School, Sanawar, before completing his education at Winchester College in the United Kingdom. Despite coming from a family of achievers, Saif initially struggled to find his footing in life and the entertainment industry.

Bollywood Debut

Saif made his acting debut in “Parampara” (1993), a film directed by Yash Chopra. While the movie didn’t perform well, his charm and potential were evident. He gained recognition with his roles in “Yeh Dillagi” (1994) and “Main Khiladi Tu Anari” (1994), where his on-screen chemistry with Akshay Kumar was widely appreciated.

Personal Life

Saif married actress Amrita Singh in 1991, and the couple had two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. However, they divorced in 2004.

In 2012, Saif married actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and the couple has two sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. Saif and Kareena are considered one of Bollywood’s most glamorous and influential couples.
